News for June 2011

Dear Friends, Family and Supporters, Greetings in the Name of Jesus!

We have now been back in Uganda for three weeks and four days (as of today)! We have enjoyed being reacquainted with old friends and acquainted with new ones!! We are glad to be back in Uganda; it has become like home to us. After all, over the past five and a half years, we have spent most of our time here. As I sit at our table typing this letter, power is fluctuating. . . yet it does not disturb me so much as it has in the past - learning to flow in God’s grace truly helps!!

While power fluctuates and the lights flicker brighter then dimmer, I remind myself that “We walk by faith and not by sight” (Rom 10:17).
Even with the challenges of being here in Bunono village, knowing that this is our home helps. Peg and I have been impressed to reach out more into our village to become part of the community. Our neighbours are very warm and friendly and often smile and wave in greeting whenever we pass by.
Just last week one of our neighbours informed us that a community meeting was underway and that Peg and I should be there. We attended the meeting as “accepted citizens” of our village.

We are so blessed to be treated and accepted as fellow citizens!

Uganda Missions

Far and Above MinistriesHi!  We are Jack and Peg van Loo-members of the Family of Faith Church in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada- and we have the privilege of sharing the Good News of Jesus in Uganda and East Africa.Jack and Peg Van Loo

Our projects include sharing in churches, facilitating a Bible Training Center, conducting Bible Seminars, as well as practical   projects which include providing food, medicine and dental treatment for those in need.

We also have income generating projects for the poor - such as mushroom, chicken, pig and rabbit production and workshops on cost effective ways of treating water and malaria.

Our plans for this year are to expand our Children’s Ministry, share in more churches, host Missions teams, and continue expansion of our agricultural projects.

If you would like more information about our ministry, or would  like to support our work, you can contact us through The Family of Faith Church or through farandaboveministries@yahoo.com
